Our support for Veganuary continues throughout January 2019 with our social gathering.
Friday, 18 January
2pm for 1-2 hours
Humblest of Pleasures, Hebden Bridge (35 Market Street, HX7 6EU, bus stop near the Co-op)
Come along if you would like to share your experience of trying a plant-based diet for the new year, or if you have any questions that you’d like to ask other people who are trying it out too. Perhaps you would like to know about shopping, cooking or eating out? How do you get on with friends, family or colleagues? What have you found most difficult and most easy?
There will be a chance to speak to people who have been vegan for many years who can describe how the health and well-being aspects have worked out for them.
We will be hosting a quiz at the end of the month too! Details to follow.
New year resolution pledges are on the horizon! January will be with us very soon and it is the official month for detox after the Christmas eating sessions. A fabulous way of becoming healthier is to go plant based. It is also better for the environment and kinder to animals.
3 Valley Vegans will be hosting events throughout January to help people who have an interest in this healthier lifestyle. There will be meet-ups, talks, workshops and films to help empower you. There will be people on hand and over the phone to help with any questions you may have.
A chance to start a new healthy lifestyle in the new year.

It will be World Vegan Month soon! 3 Valley Vegans are hosting a stall on Todmorden open air market on Thursday, 1 November. (That’s World Vegan Day, within World Vegan Month.)
The information stall will be a celebration of veganism and will promote all things vegan. We will provide information about how and why to go vegan and where to buy and eat vegan food in the area. There will be vegan recipes demonstrated and written down for people to take away and free samples of vegan food for people to try. If anyone would like to help out either by baking or creating some food samples to give away or by helping out on the stall then please contact Hilary on hils46@yahoo.co.uk. Even a few hours would be wonderful.
For the October 3 Valley Vegans event, we thought we would do something a little different. We’re going to Manchester to the new album launch of the vegan band Mobius Loop.
Please note, 3 Valley Vegans are not arranging transport or buying tickets for people! It is your responsibility to get yourselves to and from the venue. At the time of writing, the last train back to Hebden Bridge leaves Manchester Victoria at 23:22. There are no direct buses between Victoria and the Deaf Institute.
Mobius Loop are taking our much anticipated new live album ‘Gemi’ on tour across 9 venues in the UK! The ‘Gemi’ album launch tour is our largest professional venue tour to date.
‘Gemi’ the album is dedicated to our beautiful son Gemi who sadly passed away when he was 10 months old. Every song on the album was written during Gemi’s conception, birth, life and death. Gemi is our greatest teacher and he gives us the courage to share our words, he taught us that any day could be our last on earth and while we are alive we are choosing to follow our musical calling and share our songs with everyone.
We are inviting you all to come and share the vibrations with us on a journey through emotional spiritual laments to explosive energetic celebrations. Every one of us has to endure grief and loss at different stages in our lives, we believe that transforming our grief into creativity and sharing it with others is a great step towards healing for each and every one of us.
Exclusive copies of our new album will be available on the night.
