Come to the Todmorden Carnival, Saturday 23 May 2015 at Centre Vale Park. This year’s theme is “Disney”. The parade starts at 12.30pm from Sanworth Street.
3 Valley Vegans are setting up at 10.00am ready for a 11.00am start. This is mainly an information stall but we will also have tasters and possible cake if we can persuade someone to make some!

3 Valley Veg*ans will be celebrating the annual World Vegan Day, November 1st, with a gig in Todmorden.
What: A gig featuring local artists who’ve pledged to go vegan for the day. Come and join them at our celebration.
Please bring your own alcohol and drinks as supplies are limited at the venue. Included in ticket: entertainment and vegan meal.
Food being served from 7pm
Musical entertainment starts at 7.30pm till 10.30pm

Two questions that arise for vegans – “What about cheese?” “Milk chocolate?”
A tasting session for a variety of different types and brands of vegan cheese alternative, from cheddar to mozzarella, parmesan to cream cheese. Examples of dishes cooked with them.
Also a tasting of different brands of non-dairy milk and white chocolate, and cooking with them.
Todmorden Community Rescource Centre, George Street, Todmorden. 7.30pm til 9pm, Thursday 3rd July. Cost: £4 – to cover food costs. Tea and coffee provided.

After a wet and windy start, Saturday turned into a lovely sunny Todmorden Community day!
We had a superb spot, right by all the action, and once the crowds had assembled on Pollination St, we were inundated by people wanting to try our tasty food samples and add their names to our mailing list.
We had plenty of helpers and loads of foods for people to try and we promised to put the recipes on the website. There was some lovely new bunting & a banner and also some brilliant business cards
and flyers to advertise the baking workshop and the walk, coming up this weekend. There was so much interest in the baking workshop that we might have to put on a second one quite soon.There’s certainly a great interest out there in learning how to cook plant-based foods.
Thanks to all who made it such a successful day.
Our next stall will be in
4 weeks’ time, when we’ll put up our new gazebo in Centre Vale Park, Todmorden for Carnival Day. We’ll be handing out information and recipes, answering questions and selling burgers …. so we’ll need plenty of helpers! Please let us know if you’re able to help on the day…. Email:
